It was a foggy day in a small coastal town as we gathered together to enjoy the wafting tunes of folk band Prog Frog and to celebrate the birth of "Company", Andrew Byars' new album release of his life-based songs that are chock filled with lyrical poetry and a feeling of a soft breeze.
Prog Frog (Eli Carlton-Pearson: guitar/vocals, Tommy O'Mahoney: bass, Ali Rucker: vocals/flute, JT John: drums and Chris Peck: Percussion) is a brand-spakin' new project for all of the above, providing harmony-based folk with roots in the green Irish landscape not unlike springtime in Marin.
Music was heard, children played, dogs ran amok, the salt air reached nostrils and, it seems, it was another fabulous day in Bo-town, even amid the fog. Congrats to Andrew on his magical album and kudos to Prog Frog for rocking their shit!
